Alexandre Gama is a Brazilian entrepreneur and publicist who is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Creative Officer of Neogama. Today his company is one of the foremost advertising agencies in Brazil, having recently separated from BBH, in order to function as a standalone corporation. Prior to beginning his career with Standard Ogilvy and Mather in 1982, Alexandre Gama received his education from Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation, where he majored in Advertising and Communications. In 1990, Mr. Gama spent four years as a copywriter and creative director at DM9 and received a level of recognition that was unrivaled by any other copywriter of the period in Brazil. He would eventually go on to found his flagship company, Neogama in 1999, which would go on to become the fastest growing advertising agency in Brazil, receiving significant recognition at the Cannes Festival during its first year of operations. This success was continued, when in 2003, his company became the first advertising agency of Brazilian origin to receive two Golden Lion awards in the same year in two major categories; Film and Press. Today, Alexandre Gama has received a myriad of awards in regards to his life’s work and is currently the only member of the Publicis Groupe Global Creative Board hailing from Brazil.
