Chris Burch Gets Creative With Capital

Serial entrepreneur and fashion mogul Chris Burch has a long history of success in various businesses. Having been in the clothes business since his college days, he has gone on to be part of the success of nearly 50 companies worldwide. Now he is busy training his guns on the hospitality side of things. One of the first big ventures he got involved in was a resort in Indonesia, along with hotelier, James McBride. Both of them bought a hostel that served a beautiful beach on the island of Sumba, one of the many beautiful islands of this country. They then set about turning the run-down beach hostel into a world-class, villa style, resort. The estimated cost of the project is $30 million.

The resort has been named “Nihiwatu” and the waters of the beach can only be described as a perfect shade of turquoise. One of the main reasons why Chris wanted to get involved in this project is because he wanted to give something back to the community. He wants to leave something behind for future generations, in a better state than when he first found it. In fact, Chris is so pleased with the outcome, that he has admitted that it turned out better than expected. He is surprised because usually, it is the opposite that happens.
