A graduate of Tulane University Medical School, Dr. Mark McKenna is a licensed surgeon in Georgia and Florida. After completing Medical School, Dr. McKenna found himself drawn to real estate and eventually launched McKenna Venture Investments. After his business was left devastated by Hurricane Katrina, Dr. McKenna moved to Atlanta and shifted his focus back to medicine. In 2007 he founded ShapeMed a non-surgical aesthetics and wellness clinic. In 2017, Dr. Mark McKenna founded OVME, a technology-based aesthetics platform that connects clients with health care providers who best fit their needs.
Since its launch date, OVME has received roughly $4 million to aid in the startup of the company’s mobile app. With OVME, clients can receive the care they want, right in the comfort of their own homes. No waiting tirelessly in waiting rooms, and zero commute time. How’s that for simplicity?
In addition to his contributions to the world of business, and to the medical industry, Dr. Mark McKenna is committed to bettering the community he serves. To show his continues support for the community, and to encourage the overall wellbeing of others, OVME entered into a charitable partnership with the Make a Wish Foundation. A non-profit organization founded in 1980, The Make a Wish Foundation focuses on restoring the quality of life in children with life-threatening medical conditions. To know more about him click here.

The couple recently landed a spot on Jezebel Magazines 50 Most Beautiful Atlantans. Dr. McKenna should inspire us all to continue to work toward our dreams no matter what obstacles are placed before us. Instead of allowing his hardships to defeat him, he pushed forward. Today, Dr. Mark McKenna is one of the most successful surgeons and entrepreneurs in the U.S.
