One of the projects he’s working on is using RFID technology to hasten consumers’ time spent shopping. The RFID chip is on every item in a store and it is used for tracking and cashing out. Sawyer Howitt’s goal is to find a successful way to utilize and enhance the features of this chip in order to simplify and speed up the task of shopping. He plans to accomplish this by allowing shoppers the ability to just walk out with their items and be automatically charged, bypassing cashing out. Cash registers will be completely eliminated from the process.

As Sawyer Howitt has been so successful at a young age, he is imparting his knowledge to other millenials. Also, not to be intimidated by older, more experienced peers and to be confident, stand firm and show how they are an asset to the company. He also encourages those with an entrepreneurial spirit to dive in, as he thinks it’s a great time to invest in a startup, with business loans being easier to obtain as well as plenty of affordable office space.
